Policies

How the studio runs.

The short version of every policy that affects your visit. If something here is unclear, call or text the studio at (970) 279-1201 and I'll walk you through it.

Cancellation

Six business hours' notice is appreciated for any cancellation or reschedule. Life happens, but late cancels strand the spot - so repeat late cancels get charged the session in full. You'll get one warning before that lands. I'm not trying to be a hardliner; I'm trying to make solo practice work.

Minors

For clients under 18, a parent or guardian must be present in the room for the entire session. This is a firm policy. I'm happy to work with younger athletes recovering from training or post-injury, but the rule does not flex.

Payment

I accept credit card, Venmo, and cash. Whatever's easiest. Gratuity is appreciated but never required - the listed price is the price.

For HSA/FSA reimbursement, I provide itemized receipts on request. Most plans cover therapeutic massage with a doctor's note - happy to coordinate.

Gift certificates

Available for any session length. Call or text the studio at (970) 279-1201 or email [email protected]. I'll send a digital gift certificate or a printed card, whichever you prefer.

Scope of practice

I'm a licensed massage therapist and a board-certified integrative bodyworker. I am not a doctor, a chiropractor, or a physical therapist. The work I do is therapeutic bodywork - it complements medical care but does not replace it.

If your situation is better served by a different practitioner - a PT, an acupuncturist, a sports doc, a primary care doctor - I'll say so. I'd rather refer out than waste your money on the wrong tool.

Confidentiality

What you tell me during intake stays between us. Health history, injuries, what hurts, what helps. The studio is a single-practitioner space; there's no front-desk staff to overhear and no second therapist to compare notes with.

Conduct & consent

This is a therapeutic practice. Any inappropriate behavior, suggestive language, or requests for sexual contact end the session immediately and result in being barred from rebooking. Trauma-aware, consent-forward practice is baked into how I work - if anything ever feels off, tell me and we'll adjust or stop.

Studio access

The studio is on the lower level of 1318 S. College Ave with exterior stairs and no elevator. There is one small step at the building entrance. There is an accessible lift available upon request for clients with mobility needs. The bathroom is spacious and wide, though it does not have grab bars. If you have specific access needs, call ahead at (970) 279-1201 and I'll tell you straight whether the space works for you - or refer you to a colleague whose space does.

ABMP code of ethics

As a member of Associated Bodywork & Massage Professionals, I work under the ABMP Code of Ethics: professional conduct, scope-of-practice compliance, client confidentiality, continuing education, and a commitment to evidence-informed practice. The full code is available on the ABMP website.
